I was honored and deeply grateful to receive the Awesome Disability award as a founder of the American Foot Drop Association. I was finally able to print and share the guide we wish someone handed us when we were first diagnosed with foot drop. With this support, we’ll be able to send guides directly to physical therapy clinics, orthotic providers, and neurology offices to reach people right at the start of their journey. As the guide says: ‘You’re not broken. You’re not less than. You’re still capable, still worthy, and still complete.
Royal Neighbors of America recognized AFDA’s community work with funding to strengthen real life support for people living with Foot Drop. This backing funded the Clear Streets Ahead. Not only were we able to clean up 8 blocks, a safety audit was done. We are now a 2 time winner for RN. Way to go AFDA!

The American Foot Drop Association is grateful to the Enterprise Mobility Foundation for its support of our mission to educate, support, and advocate for individuals living with foot drop and mobility related disabilities.
Through a $2,500 mobility grant, Enterprise Mobility Foundation helped AFDA strengthen its technology and communication capabilities by funding new computer and recording equipment. This investment allows AFDA to create educational resources, host virtual programs, share mobility related information, and connect with individuals and families affected by foot drop across the country.
Their support helps us expand awareness, increase access to resources, and ensure that no one has to navigate life with foot drop alone.
