AFDA was born out of necessity to give people with Foot Drop a real voice and real help. We currently operate on a small staff with BIG goals to provide essential AFDA resources for those living with Foot Drop. Welcome to the American Foot Drop Association AFDA.
Our mission is to raise awareness, share valuable tools and stories, and ensure that no one facing Foot Drop ever feels alone again. You are braced, not broken.
Whether you’ve been living with Foot Drop for years or you’re just figuring out what the heck is going on with your leg, you’ve found your community. AFDA was created to be the national voice for those navigating mobility challenges, which might include braces, canes, or frustration, but also strength, resilience, and connection. At AFDA, we are committed to providing resources that support individuals living with Foot Drop and mobility challenges, while raising awareness and helping them navigate their journey towards greater independence.
